The search is over. You can now rent a waterfront cottage in Muskoka that is pet friendly. While we have been allowing pets to stay since 2022, we officially launched our pet-friendly chalets at Woofstock 2024 in Toronto. Pet parents were so happy to hear about our waterfront chalets and pet friendly policies. The idea was a hit!

A life changing experience, thank you Bryan!

We applied to be on a TV show and actually got the call!! We couldn't believe it. After zoom calls and site visits we got the official word, we had been selected to be featured on an episode of Bryan's All In, a new show for HGTV Canada that follows Bryan across Canada helping struggling entrepreneurs.

There was a week long filming period where we worked on construction projects together and talked business. Bryan provided feedback on everything, from branding and signage to partnerships and positioning. While we were nervous at first, nerves slowly gave way to excitement as we saw the changes take shape. We can not thank Bryan enough. He understood our vision of creating a space for families and friends to come together to make memories. He helped us see all of the possibilities and breathed fresh life into us. Lake Muskoka cottage resort gets a fresh new face – and name!

When Natasha O’Farrell and Rachel Holden acquired Club Muskoka in spring 2022, they had big ideas for the established cottage resort. Since then, these entrepreneurs have turned their ideas into action, elevating both the chalets and the guest experience by tirelessly renovating, introducing new outdoor elements, facilities and equipment while working with local partners to carry their message to potential guests.

Says Holden, “Guests to the resort want to spend time with friends and family, explore the great outdoors, and relax in stylish, comfortable surroundings. We are building a year-round destination for active people who love to share their days at a chalet on the lake. Each visitor has their own unique vision of a visit to Muskoka, and The Chalets on Lake Muskoka is the ideal base from which to activate their personal version.

“The new brand carries a strong message embodying year-round fun, with emphasis on the beautiful location, spectacular lake views and multi-bedroom chalets. The previous name implied exclusivity and we want people to know that everyone is welcome.”

Holden and O’Farrell are preparing for a busy fall and winter at The Chalets on Lake Muskoka. The resort offers the ideal environment for extended family vacations, travelling sports teams, intimate weddings, family reunions and casual corporate retreats. The REAL Power Elements Women’s Investment conference was held at the resort in June, and room blocks have already been reserved for their 2024 conference.

The resort has demonstrated its commitment to community by sponsoring the South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association , and is actively working with the Muskoka Royals Ringette team and the Georgian Bay Rowing Club , on future partnership. Holden and O’Farrell have reached beyond the local community to support sports organizations such as Multi-Sport Canada , whose athletes love to train and compete here in Muskoka. The Chalets on Lake Muskoka has even has introduced ice sport team building weekends for hockey and ringette teams from across the province to train in Muskoka!

The resort has already built partnerships with other tourism operators like Muskoka BeerSpa, providing day passes to guests with their Bonfires & Beers Getaway and with Muskoka Springs, offering up a taste of Muskoka to guests. The resort is a member of the local Chambers of Commerce.

Holden says, “We are so fortunate to be right in the midst of some of the most amazing experiences our province has to offer. The Chalets are the perfect jumping-off point to explore this uniquely beautiful region.”
